Elite Recruitment Group is looking on behalf of their client, an internationally based multi-disciplinary consultancy, for a Principal Signalling and Communications Engineer to work in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Australia. Key duties: Undertakes project role and tasks as appropriate to experience and as agreed with the management of the Business Group responsible for the project. Ability to undertake signaling design, verification and commisioning Act as Project Manager on various projects as required. As a Project Manager, report regularly to the Project Director on day-to-day project performance and provide feedback to line management as required. Contributes to and manages the technical outputs and quality assurance of projects.
Technical competencies:
10 years plus experience in rail signaling environment with extensive application and knowledge of Signalling Principles and Design Management processes. Signalling equipment product knowledge. Degree qualifications in an engineering discipline, post graduate qualification is desirable. Experience with diversity of clients and a wide range of consultancy assignments essential. Proven business development experience. Maintains awareness of technical standards and developments within the industry. A proven track record in the management and delivery of quality technical solutions. Good awareness of the multi-disciplinary project skills interacting with their own field. Commitment to training and professional development in the broadest sense. Understanding of contract and commercial control of projects through budgets, forecasts and financial accounts.
