Head : Business Development and Project Manager, Roads, Bridges, Highways.
The Client : Leaders in Infrastructure Development, executing large and complex Civil Engineering Projects both in India and Overseas.
The Position: The position is challenging and outstanding.
Location: A major metropolitan city in India
Salary: The right candidate will be offered a generous package.
Description of The Position: The incumbent is required to
To spearhead Business Development for the Roads and Bridges Business, both in India and Overseas.
To develop and deliver the long term and short term action plans, so as to be in schedule and within budget.
To provide Technical inputs to the Project Executive teams.
Responsibilities:
This is a Techno-commercial General Management position which includes the following:
To prepare the business strategy for Roads & Bridges Business
To be technically sound so as to provide guidance to the execution teams
As a contractor, to have a client perspective from the perspective of having a good knowledge of the design development including systems layout alternatives, specifications and services
To Develop the Roads and Bridges business across the Globe.
To be commercially savvy to negotiate and finalize contracts and tenders within India and overseas
To make existing or potential client calls for the purpose of promoting the companies Civil Construction-existing Roads Building capabilities and drawing up tenders in response to client requirements.
To develop long term business relationships with consultants
To manage a team of top notch professions and guide them to deliver business plans
The incumbent is required to keep abreast of developments and new technology in the Roads sector development and staying engaged in the construction community. This will entail active participation in Construction-Roads division, related organizations and attendance and or participation at Transportation sector development related trade shows.
Essential Qualifications:
· Civil Engineer with a minimum of 20 years experience in the field of Roads Civil construction
· Major experience in the Business Development and initial years of execution experience
· Excellent Project Management skills
· Holds some General Management experience
· Techno Commercially savvy with a good understanding of contracting and tendering process and strong negotiations skills
· Worked in a Roads major
Desirable Qualifications:
· Post Graduate in Business Management
