Our Client is spearheading transport development in the country. They are looking for a Quality Manager for their Fare Systems subgroup.
The incumbent will be part of the team that shapes the contactless smart card based ticketing system for the country's public transport.
The Job Scope includes:
1. Be responsible for the Quality Management System (QMS) in Fare System Sub-Group and to monitor its effectiveness.
2. Be the quality representative of the sub group within the organization.
3. Improve on existing processes and documentation or develop new processes.
4. Deploy the processes and institutionalize them within the sub-group.
5. Maintain quality metrics including those used in software development process.
6. Plan and conduct quality checks to audit process compliance.
7. Carry out assessments of Vendors and Suppliers as and when required.
8. Lead the process improvement initiative.
9. Provide support to project teams in quality related matters.
10. Identify internal quality problems and ensure corrections.
11. Supervise a team of about 5-6 persons.
12. Be responsible for the software configuration management system and defect tracking system based on Rational ClearCase and ClearQuest reaspectively.
The incumbent will also be involved in quality aspects of overseas projects through MSI Global.
Qualification:
1. Recognised Degree in Computer Science or related discipline with more than 8 years of post-graduate experience.
2. Prior experience in leading a team of 5 - 6 staff
3. Familiar with IBM Rational Product Suite
4. Experience in implementing and maintaining quality system based on ISO 9001 and CMMi frameworks
5. Certified ISO 9001 internal auditor
6. At least 2 - 3 years relevant experience in software engineering and of having gone through the full software development life cycle in a System/IT project
7. Strong verbal and written communication skills and good presentation skills.
8. Possess initiative and leadership skills with lateral thinking aptitude
9. Resourceful and highly motivated team player with initiative, integrity and ability to work under pressure.
