Overall responsibility to ensure that the requirements and outputs of the Contract are adhered to, in terms of both schedule and quality and in so doing maintain positive, supportive and professional relationships with the Client, the Contractor and all Public Authorities (e.g., Amara, Police, Municipality etc.).
Reports to Project Manager: Responsible to “proactively” keep him abreast of all matters pertaining to the delivery of the Contract as well as to routinely report to him on all matters both routine and specific.
Provide direction and team leadership to the resident engineers and their respective teams, manage and provide any necessary training schemes to enhance their performance relative to the goals and objectives of the Contract.
• Ensure safety on the site. • Supervise contractor’s quality of work • Monitor Contractor’s progress • Review & approve payment certificates • Issue Instructions to the Contractors
Qualifications & Experience Required: Skills and Knowledge: Good management and communication skills, strong leadership qualities, Decisive and able to give the correct decision at the right time, cooperative, good knowledge of contracts, FIDIC, specifications, drawings etc.
Work Experience: Min 20 years experience in construction and supervision of highway or railway projects, experience in desert or remote locations a distinct advantage.
Educational Requirements: B.Sc. Civil Engineering
CONTRACT CONDITIONS: - 6 days per week (8 hours per day) - based on site 200kms from Riyadh, major city. - Paid annual leave: 4 weeks (after six month, 5 days off and then every 3 months). - 2 return plane tickets per year - Health care coverage - Accommodation provided on site - $500 per month livin allowance - Contract length: 2 years
