COMPANY DESCRIPTION
Headquartered in the USA, our client is a global exciting and rapidly growing specialty pharmaceuticals business. With a vision to become the worldwide leader in their specialty in the next couple of years they have recently started their operations in India.
They are currently looking for a Director – Operations to develop and build their customer facing interests in India. The post will be based in Delhi, India.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The key goal areas for the Director – Operations are set as follows:
• Will be accountable for bringing/importing products into India from the company’s current manufacturing and supply points. • Will manage the full regulatory and procedural process to qualify the Company’s product portfolio focusing potential applications to best promote business development • Will engage, develop and maintain the customer accounts, contacts and key opinion networks close to public and private hospitals in acute cardiac care, interventional cardiology and specialty hospital drug use. • Will define, recruit and build Frontline team to support commercial and medical goals • Will work with the Company’s local Consultant for the delivery of local Registries and medical development. • Will map the competitors' initiatives and provide situational analyses and recommendations to enable the Company’s solutions and innovations to impact the market • Will develop the pricing and contracting strategies to allow commercial transactions to build longer term business relationships with the hospital networks • Will be accountable for Income and expenditure targets and report on a monthly performance to the Company’s head.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
• Medically trained Doctor or Pharmacist – Preferably candidate who has spent time in Critical Care environment, business or Medical Research. • Commercial experience working in India in a frontline role as Medical, Marketing or Commercial Role. Preference for Pharmaceutical industry experience in expanding roles and responsibilities with at least 5 years of direct exposure to hospital settings. • Proven local market knowledge and broad networking connections across medical, hospitals, and government agencies (ideally in acute cardiac care, interventional cardiology or specialty hospital drug use) • Familiar with business and medical data and analytics required • English fluency, both written and verbal. • Listening skills with ability to translate needs into immediate and practical solutions and a strong orientation and skill set in networking and customer facing solutions • Professional maturity and a depth and breadth of business acumen normally acquired through significant exposure to senior level projects or team members • Highly resilient and versatile in skill sets, change orientation, risk and influencing approaches • Strong technical/commercial capabilities - dynamic, active, assertive, creative • Winning attitude, ambition, organization and planning skills • Availability to travel and independence of schedules • Values authenticity, respect, acting like an owner, integrity, courageous communication and a sense of urgency
