Elite Recruitment Group is looking on behalf of their client, an internationally based multi-disciplinary consultancy, for a Principal Structural Engineer to work in their offices in Melbourne, Australia. Key duties: Undertakes project roles and tasks as appropriate to experience and as agreed with the management of the Business Group responsible for the project. Contributes to and manages the technical outputs and quality assurance of the structural design elements on projects. Act as Design Manager on various projects as required, reporting to the Project Manager / Director on day-to-day project performance and provide feedback to line management as required. Technical competencies: 15 years plus experience in Structural engineering. Competence in the following areas: 1. Heavy Civil structures such as diaphragm walls, cut and cover and bridge abutments 2. FEA modeling 3. Design Management Maintains awareness of technical standards and developments within the industry. A proven track record in the delivery of quality technical solutions. Good awareness of the multi-disciplinary project skills interacting with their own field. Appropriate academic and/or professional qualifications. Commitment to training and professional development in the broadest sense.
