| Job Description |
Our client, an international project management and engineering consultancy, is currently in charge of the design and construction supervision of a new metro project in India.
They are currently looking for a Resident Project Manager to be in charge of the supervision of all the Low Voltage Systems and AFC (Signalling, Telecoms and Automatic Fare collection).
DESCRIPTION:
Within an international and Indian project team, the resident Project Manager Signalling/Telecom/LVS/AFC is in charge of:
• Managing a local team of three engineers with skills in signalling, telecom and fare collection; • Evaluating the bid proposals and assisting the client in selecting and negotiating with bidders; • Managing the supervision and monitoring of the signalling/telecom/LVS and AFC contractors: day-to-day contract management, design review, interface management, supervision of manufacturing, installation, tests & commissioning; • Reporting to the Project Manager – System Integration; • Liaising with other Project Managers in charge of civil works and other railway systems: track, power supply, rolling stock & depot.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
• Senior engineer in metro signalling, ATP & ATS, telecom and AFC with at least 10 years experience in construction/manufacturing supervision • Degree in Engineering with preferably post-graduation • Full command of written and spoken English. • Experience in developing countries as well as attachments to training/research centres or chartered professionals will be appreciated. • Leadership capabilities and strong team spirit
CONTRACT CONDITIONS
Duration: 4 years plus Mobilization date: March 2010 Work place: Major City in India
PACKAGE
Basic salary in between 12,000 and 15,000 USD per month AFTER TAXES. Family Accommodation Car + driver Healthcare Etc
