COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

> £12,000/session
> 6 annual leave weeks + paid CPD time equating to 6 weeks study leave (spread over the year @ 30 minutes per session)

> Hospital consultants work from the same facilities, which give rate opportunities for integrated work between primary and secondary care.

ABOUT THE ROLE

> 6 to 8 sessions/week
> 10-15 mins consults: option to choose between 10 or 15 minutes consultation format.
> Hardly no home visits: paramedics do vast majority.
> No extended hours
> The GP’s are encouraged to develop a special interest during their paid sessions. Or they could also use the practice’s private facilities for their own private work.

ABOUT THE PRACTICE

> Training Practice
> Clinical Support Staff: “Vast” support team, including ANPs, Practice Nurses, Paramedics, Specialist nurses, GP PA team, Prescription administrators, Heads of office, Clinical administrators and plenty of other roles!
> QOF score between 90% and 95%
> Brand new, purpose built
> Onsite free parking

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

> Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings as required
> Participate in practice audits as requested by the audit lead
> Contributing to the summarising of patient records and read-coding patient data
> Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) or the QOF
> Recognise peoples needs for alternative methods of communication and respond accordingly.
> Manage chronic conditions and promote preventive healthcare measures.
> Correct waste and instrument management, including handling, segregation, and container use
> Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice
> Liaise with other healthcare professionals (e.g., midwives, pharmacists, health visitors and psychiatrists) as part of multidisciplinary teams
> Identifying the risks involved in work activities and undertaking such activities in a way that manages those risks across clinical and patient process

REQUIREMENTS

> Newly qualified as well as experienced GPs
> Fully GP trained with all essential skills
> Effective time management (Planning & Organising)
> Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies and guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety.
> Certification of Completion of Training
> Qualified GP
> Problem solving and change management skills
> Have experience or be comfortable working in a digital environment
> Member of the GMC Register
> Outstanding level of clinical knowledge and skills commensurate with that of an experienced GP
